A JOCKEY'S APPEAL.
A DECISION AFFIRMED,
The judges of the Racing Conferenco have delivered tho following judgment in the matter of tho appeal by W. S. Young, jockey, against the decision of tho Wanganui District Committee in dismissing the appeal lodged by the said W. S. Young against the decision of the Judicial 'Committee of the Manawatu Racing Club, and in approving of the decision of the said Judicial Committee, who found that W. S. Young, jockey, pulled the horse Ibex in the seventh race on tho first day (17th April, 1918), and under Rulo 1, Part xxxiii of the Rules oi Racing disqualified the said W. S. Young for a period of two years from 17th April, 1918:—
"After a careful consideration of the evidence we are of the opinion that the findings of the Judicial Committee of the Manawatu Racing Club and of the Wanganui District Committee, that W. S. Young, jockey, pulled the horse Ibex in the above-mentioned race, was correct. We therefore affirm the decision appealed against, and order the deposit to be forfeited.
"An order is also made for a further investigation of the circumstances by tho Manawatu Racing Club." The judgment is signed by Messrs. C. P. Skerrett, J. W. Abbott, and O. S. Watkins.
