There is an improved demand for oatsheaf chaff, due to greater local requirements, and also for shipment. A special steamer is loading chart at southern ports and Lyttelton for Gisborne next week. Potatoes are in good demand, and buyers are giving £6 to £0 4s at country stations, the higher price for delivery at the beginning of next month. In other lines the market is very quiet. Onions are now bringing £10 to. £10 10s at country stations.
