GEEYMOUTH, 12th July Sailed—Kamo (1.30 p.m.), for Wellington . The auxiliary schooner Gisborne, whose arrival from Dunedin was reported In last eight's Post, experienced rather: bad-weather all the way up the coast, the winds being continuously against-her. j . She left thei 'southern port on Thursday of last week. She will return to Dunedin on Monday next .with general cargo ', ■ . ' A heavy south-westerly gale was the cause of the Mararoa's late arrival at Lyttelton yesterday morning The following motion was passed at a recent meeting of the Auckland branch of the Merchant Service Guild:—"That the. opinion of this section of the Merchant Service Guild is that interned crews of British ships who are prisoners owing to their vessels having been sunk or captured by the enemy, should certainly receive a continuance of their wages. This would place seamen on the same footing as soldiers, and would be in accordance with the provisions of recently enacted United States law, which provides for full pay to bo allowed to all United States citizens in captivity." . : Negotiations were recently opened lor the purchase of the Auckland-owned tug Lyttelton with the object of removing her ougines and converting her into a three-masted schooner. The option given to the intending purchaser lapsed however (reports the "Herald).: . . . According to advice received by the Union Company, the Moeraki is due at Wellington on Monday next from Hobart arid Sydney. The vessel is to sail for Lyttelton on Tuesday, and will return to this port on Thursday \ It is probable that the auxiliary schooner Ozmo will occupy the cradle at the Patent Slip for another week ■ ■
