Smith escaped with minor injuries,. . ]'■ Monteith s parents reside, at Beef ton. He was 21 years old, and was ehortly entering the Expeditionary Porce camp. The party were returning from Opunake. The survivors are not sufficiently recovered to give an account a» to how the accident happened.
