Early in the year, aaya thp Committee of the Wellington Choral Union in its annual report, Mr. F. B. Young, chairman of committee, having joined the colours, tendered his resignation. Mr. Young has been a member of the union and committee since its inception; he has rendered most valuable services a.t all times, and, has contributed', in no small degree to the society's welfare. Mr. W. J. Lanksheur was elected chairman iinri: Mr. J. R. Burjey whs appointed to the committee. In September last Mv- W. J, ChartreFj (assistant secretary) also reI signed to go into camp. Mr. E. A. I Tanner was appointed to 611 the .yac.ft.ncy.
