(PUBLISHED IK THE TIKES.)
. ' LONDON, 3rd Auguit. The Times correspondent with Bussian-South-Western Headquarters, cabling on 30th July, says : "The rupture on_ the front has been mended. The Russians have lost in eleven days ninety/miles of territory between Kalush and Husiatyn. The enemy's advance has now slackened, owing to the effective measures which have been taken against desertions and panics. Many of the disaffected regiments have returned to the front. The Prussian Guards': attacks north of Tarnopol were repulsed with heavy losses. The German a&ffensiveia apparently directed towards Kemenetz, Podolsk, and Odessa."
