SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
There is no doubt that the entertainments for sailors at tthe Sailors' Friend Society . are. enjoyable. - Last night, another "of. these ..'concerts .was given by •Miss V.' Mueller and company,. and '.their efforts : wore.much appreciated. . .The sailors' thanks are. tendered to the -. Misses Kreeft, Morrah, Boyd; and Fulton for the buttonholes they.so generously provided, . and for tho ■- decorations in the hall. Competitions were again much enjoyed, .and ;the 'prizes were.useful. Mr, Moore (missioner) spoko on "Bread or Beer?"., and .many signed the 6 o'clock, closing- petition. The performers wore : Madame Mueller, Misses Anketelle, M. Cooley, L. Carrington', ,Thiel, ;'and J. 'Fairclough. and .Messrs. Merwood, W. Wood, -'and Chaddick. Miss Anketelle played tho accompaniments.
