News has been received in Wellington of the promotion of Lieutenants F. W. Reed and P. J. Ellis, M.C., N.Z.F.A., both of the accountants' branch of the Wellington Harbour Board, who have attained their captaincy. Capt. Reed, who held, a commission in the D Battery, went to Stoioa, as a lieutenant; when war broke out, and then went on in charge of one of N.Z.F.A. Reinforcements. Capt; Ellis, Who was for a time officer commanding the Electric Light Corps Volunteers, went away as a sergeant in tho Mafn Body, fought through Gallipoli, and has since distinguished himself by winning the Military Cross in France.
The SaVati°w Army will hold-.an. Anzao Memorial' Service in the Citadel, Vivianstreet, on Sunday night at 7 o'clock, to which all returned Soldiers are invited. The bind will play "The. Garland of Howel-s" at Dixon-etreet at 6.15) and "Saul" in the Citadel at 7 o'clock. StaflCaptain Burton will give a special address. Special ihusic lWll be by the Salvation Army Band for the wounded soldiers at their Hospital, Newtown, at 2.30 in the afternoon.
