"MADE IN GERMANY"
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—lt is disgraceful ,to think that German-made goods are still being foisted on to the public. The following is an extract from a letter received, from a New Zealand boy who is doing hia bit in France, and who acknowledges a parcel sent from Wellington:—"The parcel you bought for me was up to ' putty.'—Why? The.safety razor inside it was a German make and had directions written in German. The beggars ought to be told about it, selling razors like that, especially to send on to us out, here, who are fighting the enemy, and I suppose people wonder why the New Zealanders don't take a lot of prisoners. I know why—because they kill the beggars until they, are sick of slaughter, and then take the\few remaining prisoners. We were called 'butchers' by the Germans who opposed us on the Somme. It makes my blood boil to hear them praised or to get things made in Germany." , This is sufficient to.show what our boys think of the. Germans, and yet people will push goods like this on to the market to be sent to the New Zealand ' soldiers in France,—l am, etc., DISGUSTED. 26th April.
