QUESTION OF RAILWAY TICKETS TO BE GONE INTO
The Hon.; W. D. ,S. Mac Donald, Minister of MineSj toki a Post reporter to-day that the State mine was still idle to-day pending a settlement of the dispute concerning miners' railway tickets. He intended to confer with tho Hon. W. H. Henries, of Railways, and go into the whole matter to ascertain exactly how the miners fared in regard to railway concessions, as compared with other classes of workers. If other workers had to make sacrifices in this direction it" would be hardly fair to make .in excepution in the case of th» miners As far as his information went, he added, all the other mines were working. The date, for ffio conference.between the representatives of both sides had not been definitely fixed, but he thought that ft would take place towards the end of the .■week.
