DEPUTATION TO THE: MINISTERS.
A deputation from the British Medical Association waited on the Hon. Sir Fames Allen (Acting-Prime Minister and Minister for Defence), and Hon. G. W. Russell (Minister for Public Health) yesterday, in order to place before them certain proposals to assist the authorities in tKe . supply o£ doctors for, military and civil duty. Sin James Allen Btated last night that it was the desire of the British Medical Association to help ■ the Government as much as possible, but as to what would be done as a" result ,of tho deputation he was not in a position to say as yet. It would havo to be arranged With tho Defence Department and the Public Health Department. The Defence Department was primarily concerned with tho keeping .up of the supply of mtedical men for: the military side, whilst the Public Health Department's biiaines& was to look after the civil population. . : ..■■■•■/ ■-. ■
