AMERICAN SCHOONER SUNK
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLg ASSOCIATION.) (Received April 27, 8.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 26th April.
The American schooner .Percy Birdsall (a four-masted wooden vessel of 1123 tons) was sunk by gunfire by a submarine. She was attacked without warning. A patrol boat rescued the crew.
