KILBIRNIE-MIRAMAR PARISH
Tho Rev. J. H. Sykes occupied the chair at the annual meeting of the Kil-birnie-Miramar Anglican parish, held at Kilbirnie last evening.
A satisfactory position was disclosed by the annual report and balance-sheet. There was a credit balance of £37 odd. During the year, the report stated, the buildings had been renovated and repainted. Reference was made to the loss of tho Hey. J. Bobinson, curate, who was appointed vicar at Baetihi. It had unfortunately been impossible to secure the services of anyone in Mr. Bobinson's ■ place, and the parish was under a debt of gratitude to tho lay readers who had stepped in to lend assistance.
A motion to the effect that women should be permitted to vote at parish meetings was adopted. The question of building a new church was held over for the duration of the
