SECOND "ANZAC" DINNER.
To-morrow evening, commencing at 7.15 o'clock, in the Towu Hall, the Welbran.en of the New Zealand Patriotic Society will hold its second Anzao Day commemorative dinner. Guests are invited to be in their seats at (7.10 p.m. -The arrangements for the funcJtion, in the hands of Mr. J. Lewis, are almost complete, and the evening gives ■promise of being a very pleasant and memorable one.
At 6.45 p.m., at the Returned Soldiers" Club, tho returned soldiers and a. detach-' ment of naval men will parade, and,* headed by the Patriotic Society's Band, will march to the Town Hall: The musical portion of the evening's entertainment is to be providad by artists on the Fuller.circuit; also by soriie of the ''Jack .Tars" who so delighted large audiences, in the Town Hall a week or two ago. Amongst those who have accepted' invitations to be present are"'tho Hon. A. L. ,| Herdman, the iHon. A. M. Myers; hisHonour the Hhief Justice (Sir Robert Stout), Sir. JohJ^ Denm'ston. Mr....Justice■ Cooper, the Mstyor (Mr. J. P., Luke), Lieutenant Keily, R.N.R., manjj representative military men, and leading oiti- ■ zens. ' "
Relatives of returned 'soldier's and others will be admitted toithe gallery by ticket. The decoration of the hall, which which is to be something elaborate, 'is'being, undertaken by the D.t.C. Duringthe evening- the Patriotic Hociefcy's Band will play the selection "Upholding, Freedom's Flaff," which contains the anthem of each of. the "Allies, and also the anthems of New Zealand and Australia.
