BREACH OF AGREEMENT
A claim for breach of an agreement was heard in the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., the plaintiff being Ma.rion Lily Hughes and the defendant Horaco Graham Rutter, land agent.'. In the statement of claim, it was set: out that the' defendant took a lease of certain property- in Mainroad, Lower' Hutt, and agreed to keop the house and grounds in good order and condition. The defendant also had the usa of all garden tools, arcl agreed to deliver the same or others of a like nature , upon determination of the lease. The defendant had foiled to keep to the terms of the agreement, and plaintiff had been put to various expenses to restore the premises and land to good order and condition, and therefore claimed £23 4s. 'The plaintiff also claimed the return of a set of croquet, hoops and sockets for tennis net, or the further sum of £3, tho equivalent ( in value. After hearing tho evidence, the Magistrate gave judgment for plaintiff for £19 13s 6d, less £10 3s amount paid into Court, and costs totalling £4. Mr. T. Young appeared for plaintiff and Mr. O.> Beero for.defendant. ' ' ' .
