STAY OF PROCEEDINGS

HAMILTON, This Day.

In the Supreme Court this morning, before Mr. Justice Hosking, by direction of the Attorney-General, stay of proceedings was entered under section 435 of the Crimes Act in regard to the remaining charges of perjury against Natives in connection with the Rua trial at Auckland. This leaves it open to the Crown to reinstate the charges if subsequent events warrant it.
