WAR CONFERENCE DELEGATES ENTERTAINED
AN ALL-RED CABLE ADVOCATED
(Received April 26, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 25th April. The Empire Press Union entertained the War Conference delegates at luncheon at the Savoy.' Lord Burnham, presided. There were 100 guests, including Mr. W. H. Long, 'Mr.' Austen Chamberlain, the High Commissioners of the Dominions, British and.lndian editors, and pressmen from, the Dominions.
Lord Burnham urged a better newsservice between the United Empires. The cables now were so congested that they could not get through a, mere third of the usual quantity. He' advocated an All-Red cable.
Sir Robert Borden, Prime Minister of Canada, said a marked step had been taken in 1 calhng together tho War' Conference. The constitutional development of the Empire would proceed along the path of equal nationhood., Communication and' transportatiqn were vital factors. In order to keep the Empire together Canada would fight until Germany was beaten.
