SEAPLANE ATTACK ON DESTROYERS
ONE SHIP BWEVED TO fiE SUNK
AN EPISODE OFF THE BELGIAN COAST
The High Commissioner reports;— LONDON, 24th April. The Admiralty reports : Five of the enemy's destroyers were seen on* Monday between Blankenberghe and Zeebruggo, five miles off the coast. Three of our naval machines droppec} sixteen bombs, obtaining four hits, and the destroyers scattered. The remaining machines dropped thirty-two bombs. The leading destroyer was seen to have listed to port and remained stationary after alj the bombs werp dropped. Four of the destroyers returned to Zeebrugge. It is considered mos^probable that the other destroyer was sunk. DESTRUCTION OF BRITISH AIRSHIP CLAIMED (AtTSTBALIAN-IfEW ZE&L&KD OABI,E ASSOOIATIOJJ. ) (Received April 25, 9 a.m.) ROTTERDAM, 25th April. Two German aeroplanes, twenty miles north of Zeebrugge, brought down -a Pritish airship pri the 23rd. There were eight men in the car.
