I Dr. Jessie' Scott (Auckland) arrived in London yesterday'at the completion of six months' work—a- great deal of it surgical—at the Ostrovo Hospital, of 200 beds, within the sound of the guns at Monastir. .Dr. Scott went out from England in the middlo of 1916 with a unit of the Scottish Women's Hospital, and its- work has been valuable and strenuous. , On 29th January a New Zealand dinner was held at the well-known La Tour Blanche, when about thirty New Zealanders were present, and when telegrams were received from Mr. Massey, Sir Joseph Ward, and Sir T. Mackenzie, Those present included Dr. Jessie Scott, Miss Atkinson (Christchurch, who is nursing in Salonika), and Miss Warren, a- lady chauffeur from New Zealand, who is working with the .Servian Relief Fund Hospital; also Ca.pt. A. E. W. Salt, of the Manchester Regiment (lately with the Jf.Z.E.F.). Major Harper presided. Dr. Jessie Scott has seen considerable service, for she was at jKrujevatz previously, and also she had charge of a small hospital at Lazarevatz, coming back to England ..at the beginning of 1916, to set out again in the middle of the same year.
