NATIONAL RESERVE

B Company (Wellington East) held its weekly parade on Thursday under Captain Partridge. The company was exercised in extended order drill and physical exercises. After drill the company passed a vote of condolence to Private B. E. Rawnsley, who recently lost a son in action at the front, and also to Mrs. W. F. Watt, whose hubsand, Lieutenant Watt, was killed in action, and who was formerly a platoon sergeant in B Company. On next Tuesday evening a combined parade will be held with Wellington South Company. The rifle match on Saturday with the Lower Hutt Platoon was won by Lower Hutt. The following were the scores: Lower Hutt—Cla,pham 58, Bell 46, Fleet 67, Stratton 50, Prier 65, Kershaw 61, M'Kay 64, M'Bain 57, Knight 50, Clendon 61 ;—total, 579. B Company—Neal 58, Osmond 58, Fraser 60, Tanner 53, Adams 44, Lattey 58, M'Gowan 62, Madeley 59, Purchas 38, Longman 41; — total, 531.
