I Dr. Anderson. Director of Agriculture in Victoria, is on a visit to Wellington. A further case concerning the Bellovue Gardens Hotel, Lower Hutt, was heard in the Magistrate's Court to-day, when Eniest Stokes and Beryl Oilman were charged with being on the licensed premises on Sunday, 2nd July. After hearing the evidence, the Magistrate (Mr. L. G. .Reid, S.M.) imposed a fine of 20s on Stokes, while Gilmai), who was reported to have left New Zealand, was merely convicts and discharged.
