WOOL SALES.

BRISBANE, This Day. At tho wool sales, competition was keen. Prices for greasy advanced from 5 to 7£ por cent., and all bulky wools wero 30 to 15 per cent, lower. 'Top price for greasy was 24d, scoured 40d.
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received tho following cablegram from. London, under dato 'sth instant:—"Wool Sales—Good demand. As compared with 28th July, merino and lino crossbred aro unchanged, greasy medium and coarse 5 per cent, higher, slipo scoured very' firm."
Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., have received tho following cablegram from thoir London agents under dato sth inst.: —"Sales opened good attendance; poor selection offering; no change in marfeet, except for medium and strong crossbrods, par to 5 per cent, dearer.!'
