RELIEF OF MACINTOSH AND HIS MEN
TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY
SHACKLETON.
(REUTERS TELEGRAM.)
(Received September 6, 8.40 a.m.)
LONDON, sth September. It is expected that Sir Ernest ShackletoTi will proceed to Australia, via England and take command of the Aurora on the expedition to rescue the marooned men on Ross Island.
Mr. Greenstreet, who was one of the party rescued from Elephant Island, shipped at London as chief- officer of Sir Ernest Shackleton's ship the Endurance. It is suggested that there must .be a mistake in the list of names in last night's Post, .which gave Mr. Jeffrey as first officer, Mr. Greenstreet's rating not being giren.
