THE BROOKLYN UNIT.

The weekly parade of the Brooklyn unit of the National' Reserve, held in the State school grounds last evening, was well attended Lieut. W. A. Ramsay was the officer in command. Major J. W Steel,, who was present, took, a hand in the evening's work, and put members through a course of rifle .exercises, etc. Owing to the success of previous socials, it has been arranged to hold another, the date fixed being Thursday.night week. Tlie following team has been selected to fire off this evening in a match between the Brooklyn unit and the Valuation Department, at the former's range: — Brooklyn—Webb, Clark, Randall, Richardson, Worsfold, Chandler, Abbott, Waters, Turner, and Alabaster; reserves —Baldwin, Aulin, 'Cart-wright, Hunt, and Ramsay
