PREVENTION OF CRUELTY
The usual meeting- of the committee of the Society for tho Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held on Tuesday, Mr. F. Meadowcroft in the chair
Inspector Henry reported a number of cases of alleged cruelty which he had dealt with since the last meeting In ono case, it was stated that a constable had been unable to despatch a horse painlessly on account of ignorance of tho right part to lire at. The inspector had left' tho necessary diagram of instructions at the Lambton -and Mount Cook Police Stations.
Tho application of the society's collector for a new bicycle- was held over till the next meeting
