NEWS FOR THE ANZACS
CABLE SERVICE BEING ARRANGED

LONDON, 27th June.
The Hon. Hugh Mahon (Australian Minister for External Affairs) and Mr. Fisher (Commonwealth High Commissioner) will shortly institute a. Government service of Australian cable news for the troops in England, France, and Egypt. The Eastern Telegraph Company has offered a reduced cable rate of 4_d a word to Egypt. It is proposed to send two hundred words for daily distribution through the London newspapers and by leaflets. • Good space has been promised, provided, expert journalists select the news. Despite the pressure of space and the shortage of paper, Lord Northcliffe has offered a daily Anzac column in the Daily Mail if the standard is high.

MELBOURNE, This Day. The Federal Government proposes to remit a daily budget of home news to the Australian troops in Egypt, France, and England.
