TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As secretary of the ladies' section of the Special Committee set up by the Navy League to control the appeal for funds for British sailors' dependents, I wish to express my sincere thanks to all my co-workers in this effort. Further, I wish to thank all contributors iii money and x in land, also those who placed their motor-cars and services at our disposal. The Wellington public is ever-ready to assist any worthy object, and again, on this occasion, they have enabled us to collect a sum worthy' of the Empire City.—l am, etc., MARY WATERS. 19th June, 1916.
