PLIMMERTON SHEEP
TO rHB EDITOR. Sir, —It is little wonder that your correspondent "Plimmerton Extension" in | last. Saturday's paper ventilated a very i just grievance. The wonder is that ! people continue to suffer jt so long. There are three people directly or in- | directly responsible for this continued nuisance, and I have made them very well acquainted .with the facts (their names, Sir, I enclose), but apparently to Ino purpose. There can be no question about the moral obligation at the door of the owner of the land, the lessee, and the ranger for the Hutt County Council. Consequently, I want to know why they do not discharge that obligation. Again, Sir, the Motuhara-road is not a sheep run. The owner of the adjoining land assured me the road had been taken over jby the County Council, but why the lessee or owner has not boen compelled to fence I am at a, Ipss to understand. I Let us hope that this matter will not require further daylight being shed upon it to produce a little activity and moral justice from those whose duty it is to discharge it.—l am, etc., PLIMMERTON EXTENSION 11. 19th June, 1916.
