14th REINFORCEMENTS
REVIEWED BY THE.GOVERNOR
The 14th Reinforcements were reviewed by His Excellency the Governor, tho Earl of Liverpool, 'at Trentham racecourse this morning, in the presence of a fair representation of the public. The weather was iino, though threatening. The ceremony was carried out in such a manner as to-earn for the 14ths the reputation of being one of the smartest drafts yet turned out at the New Zealand Reinforcement Camps. Tho Karl of Liverpool was accompanied by his aide-de-camp, Brigadier Sir Alfred Robin, G.0.C., Colonel C. M. Gibbon, 0.G.5., and other representatives of-De-feiice Headquarters, Lient.Colonel H. R. Patter, \Camp Commandant, and the UeAdqimrters and Training Staffs. ■ A (lor tho parade hud given the salute, His Excellency inspected tho troops, and they wore then marched past. in column of platoons, presenting a very lino sight,' Thoir marching was particiilnrly good, ench . platoon preserving perfect aliffn'inent!
Liter His Excellency addressed the pilicoi'si, mid complimented' them upon their smart turnout.
