MILITARY SERVICE BILL

CONSIDERATION; BY COMMITTEE.

The Military Service Bill was under consideration by the Statutes Revision Committee to-day, and, it is understood, may come up. for further consideration by the Legislative Council on Friday, although some_ doubt is expressed as to whether it will even be ready by the end of the week. This is due to the fact that important alterations, and amendments a-re being made, and necessitate a good deal of deliberation in view of the nature of the measure. To-day the Council is confining itself to the committal stages of the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill, and consideration of the ■amendments to the War Pensions Bill brought down by Governor's Message.
