ALLEGED BREAKING AND ENTERING
[ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.
: In the Magistrate's Court this morning, before "Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., two men, named William David Creamer and James Farvelly, alias Spencerly, respectively, were charg/ed with breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Daniel Tonkins, in. Taranaki-s'treet, on ,13th June, with intent to commit a crime. 'The accused were not represented by counsel. The evidence was to. the effect that the' alleged offence took place between 11.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on Usa day in question. ' The house in whioh the alleged offence was committed is a .boarding-house known as Te Aro Restaurant, and the room entered was used, as a bedroom by the proprietor. ; After the*1 evidence of five witnesses liad been heard, the accused both pleaded not guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was iiot applied for. .
