Regret at losing- the services. as ■ a director of the National Dairy Association of Captain A. C. Hiibbard, of Paeroa, was expressed by the chairman of the association (Mr. A. Morton) at the Palmerston Show yesterday. Cap-, tain Hubbarcl was a director, of the association for five years, and he is now about to leave New Zealand on active service. A resolution recording appreciation of his valuable services to the association and admiration for his action in offavinjj himself to the Empire was carried with acclamation
