DOUGLAS HAIG'S METHODS PRAISED

An official review of the operations on the. west front, referring to vSir Douglas Haig's summary of events during the last five weeks, says that his discreet statement fails to reveal tho unceasing activity of the British. It is not stated that the new British sector is one of ■ two. requiring the most vigilant watchfulness and the hardest efforts, and daily consuming large numbers of men and shells.
