EFFECT OF -WAR,: CONpITIONS.
' The machinery section at the show provides one foi the most interesting, and not the least important exhibitions. Working- machinery is always a special feature-of'the Winter Show, and this year the general scheme is as elaborate as ever. The' stands are attractive to all classes. There are the various makes of milking .machines, many of them manufactured .in the Qominion., Tickets on the exhibits, noting to whom plants have been sold, indicate how popular they have become. . When denied men, the farmer must have the machines, 60 he is being catered for in . every direction. Owing to the war some firms have been unable to occupy their usual stands, but all the space has been taken up, nevertheless. Each exhibit is in charge of an expert, and the curious will find many unique labour-saving devices if they take the trouble to enquire. Farms are being run. more and more by machinery, and it is interesting to note that a quantity of 'that machinery is manufactured within the Dominion.
