No reference to .Te Horo would be complete without special mention of the very capable and painstaking Postmistress, Miss Diaper. The settlers are particularly fortunate in having such a careful and obliging lady in charge, and it is generally agreed that no better officer could be found for the position. Promptness, and being obliging to everyone, have made the Postmistress a very popular resident among the people pi .Te Horo.. ' " ,- ■-/'■•
