Forging and uttering a- cheque for £21 to H. W. Lloyd, jeweller, on sth June last, was the charge preferred against a man named Charles Hector Dudley in the Magistrate's Court this morning. The' accused, who was not represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
