WILLOCHRA'S MEN IN QUARANTINE

DUNEDIN, This Day
This morning all the troops on the Willochra were transferred to Quarantine Island, the patients previously accommodated there being placed elsewhere. The master and crew remain oh the ship, anchored in the stream, It is, understood the suspected case of smallpox is that of an Otago infantryman, whose next-of-kin reside at Carterton. The proposal to use Quail Island has been abandoned.
