FEMALES AS DAIRY WORKERS
A noticeable feature at Home in connection xvith the war has been the advent of women into industries hitherto carried on entirely by men, and as time goes on the tendency will be for the same position to arise in New Zealand. Already the Labour Department (Women's Branch) has received several applications from females who desire to become dairy hands, but so far no dairy farmers have applied for female assistants for this class of work. The Department has several vacancies for housemaids and parlourmaids.
