Barometer—Fall everywhere shortly Tides—Very high on all the eastern coast; good elsewhere Seas—lncreasing, rough to heavy northward of Kaikoura.; considerable elsewhere Warning signals for south-easterly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Dlemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape, and for easterly'at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen Island, and Farewell Weather—Dull and misty generally, with much rain following over the North Island and on the east coast of the South Island, and rain probable elsewhere Note.—A storm appears to bo developing in the tropics northward of New Zealand, and likely to appear in the North after from 24 to 36 hours .
