WAR REGULATIONS
Additional regulations under the War Regulations Act, 19H, dealing with intoxicating liquor in camps, permits with regard to firearms, and permits to leave New Zealand have just been issued. It is provided that no person shall bring or send, or cause to be brought oi- sent" any intoxicating liquor into a camp, or have any intoxicating liquor in his possession in a camp, and thi-.t any military officer or constable may seize or destroyany intoxicating liquor which he finds in a camp. The term "camp" means uny land occupied or used, or in course of preparation for occupation or use, as a. place for the training or exercise of members of an expeditionary force under the Expeditionary Forces Act, 1915. The permit required under clause 5 oi the War Regulations of 20th day September, 1915 (relative to the sale, transfer, supply, or procurement of firearms or ammunition), may bo granted by a sergeant of police. The permit required under clause 2 of the War Regulations of the 15th day of November, 1915 (relative to persons leaviug New -Zealand for any place beyond the seas), may bo granted by any person authorised in that behalf by tha Minister for Internal Affairs, whether generally or with respect to any particular persons or classes of persons. A permit granted by any person so authorised may bo revoked cither by himself or by tho Minister oj Under-Secretaa'v of Internal Affairs.
