SHOOTING COMPETITIONS. HOW NEW ZEALAND FARED. The results of the Schools of the Em- • pire shooting competitions for the year 1914-15 are now to hand. In the senior competition, for the Prince of Wales's Challenge Cup, the Auckland Grammar School secured sixth place, Nelson College fourteenth, and Waitaki High School nineteenth, v The s New Plymouth Boys' High School registered the highest score of the whole of the competing schools in this contest, but was disqualified for non-compliance with the rules. In the junior competition, for the Natal Shield, the Auckland Grammar School finished first, winning this match for the third year in succession, with a score of 487, or an average of 60.87. Altogether in this match thirty-four schools competed in various parts of the Empire. The Auckland Grammar School, as a result, also wins the Cup presented by the New Zealand Association of the Public Schools of Great Britain for the New Zealand team making the highest score in these competitions.
