DEARER POTATOES
Potatoes have gone up with a bound in price, and it looks as if they will , be dearer. Oh 30th September they could be had in Canterbury for £6 per ton," for prime table varieties. To-day, £7 17s 6d to £8 is wanted, and it is reported that stocks are very short. Fancy prices, in Australia is given as the cause of the rise.
