MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union, held last evening, was attended by the following : Messrs. D. D. Weir (in the chair), E. Little, A. E. Wilson, H.. Buck, G. Howe, W. Donovan, A. Griffiths, and G. Luoni, and Lieutenant Christopher. Concerning a request -from the Taranaki Union, it was decided that a Trentham team could not be sent to Hawera next week. Arrangements are to be made, however, for a Wellington representative team to play at Hawera on the opening day of the show (30th June). The pi^ocecds of the game will be devoted to patriotic funds. Requests for footballs for the Johnsonvillo and Tawa Flat schools were granted. The Petone Football Club asked that tho Oriental-Petonfc fixture for Saturday next be postponed.— Granted. A suggestion wa« received from the Melrose Football Club (now dissolved) that the Union should take over the club's gymnasium liability.— lt was decided to adviso the club that the union could take no action in the matter, but to urge that an effort be made to retain tho property, as the position of Bport might show a marked improvemenf'after the next twelve months. WANGANUI v. TeTaUTE COLLEGE (BT TE',EGRWH— PRESS tSSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., 23rd June. At the National Dairy Show to-da-y the chief item of interest was the football match Wanganui v. To Aute Colleges, which was witnessed by an at. tendance of nearly 20,000 people. Several scats were sold for £2 each in aid of the Wounded Soldiers Fund. The senior game was an excellent exposition of Rugby, Wanganui having an advantage of 6 points at half-time. The Maoris played well in the second half, the game ending 6 all. The junior game resulted— Wanganui 11, To Ante 0.
