GIFTS FOR THE BELGIANS
,NONE OF CANTERBURY'S ON BOARD. (IT TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION) CHRISTCHURCH, list February. No gifts from Canterbury .were on the Tokomaru. Canterbury gifts were forwarded by the following vessels:— Athenic, blankets ,' Ruahine, clothing and barley, gerstena, flour, and cheese j Turakina, cheese and clothing j Rotorua, clothing, wheat, and bacon ; Tainui, butter, clothing, cheese, rabbits, and hares ; Somerset, clothing and rabbits; H.M.N.Z.T. No. 1, clothing (the main lot). All parcels forwarded from Canterbury were fully covered by war risk insurance.
