Recipe for Mustard Pickles is printed on label. Also try the following : — RECIPE FOR MAKING CABBACE AND ONION MUSTARD PICKLE. Take a large white cabbage and four onions (more if desired). _ Strip green leaves off cabbage, cut white heart into quarters, then cut across into slices. Slice onions, and place all into brine (21b saJt to 1 gallon water). Let stand 24 hours, then strain, wash, and thoroughly drain. Pack loosely into dry bottles. Place contents of tin of "X" Powder in earthenware basin, add ilb sugar, mix with a little _ vinegar into smooth paste. Add remainder of 5 gallon vinegar, and bring to boil in a saucepan. While hot pour liquor over vegetables, heat through till tender (not soft), bottle, and when cold cork tightly. Store for 2 or 3 weeks before using.
