THE ORANGE RIVER
HELD BY UNION TROOPS. (TIME 3 AND SYDNES SUN BBRVICEB.) LONDON, 25th January. The Press JBffreau states that after their recent setback the rebels operating in the south-east corner of German SouthWest Africa definitely' abandoned the idea of invading the Cape Province via Schuitdrift. The Union troops, under Colonel Bonwer, operating from 'Steinkopf, .have seized Ramansdrift. and cleared the country of rebels. "We now hold the entire line of the Orange River, and there is no enemy in Union territory near the eastern border, while their advance generally has been checked."
