TRADE WITH THE ENEMY
SALUTORY SENTENCE. LONDON, 14th October. George Spencer, who represented a Hamburg shipping firm, has been sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonnient. He was charged with trying to induce Mr. F. H. Houlder, of Houlder Bros., to trade with the enemy hy asking him to take over German ships lying ir neutral ports, on which the Houlder Company had mortgage*.
