MELANESIAN MISSION
A SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY. . (BY IBLEORAPH.— PBISS ASSOCIATION.) . AUCKLAND, This Day. The mission steamer Southern Cross, which returned to Auckland on 14th July, will leave for Norfolk Island next Friday, her stay having been considerably prolonged by causes arising from the war. The Bishop of Melanesia, will leave in the steamer. He will preach here on Sunday, this day being a very special anniversary in the Mission, for it was on 20th September, 1870, that Bishop Patterson was murdered.
