CABINET MEETS
A FULL ATTENDANCE. GERMAN ACTION IN LUXEMBOURG. • LONDON, 3td August. It is understood that the Government will ask Parliament for a credit for defence purposes. , Cabinet sat for four hours and a-half last evening. There was a full attendance, and the attitude of Ministers was materially changed by the news of Germany's action in Luxembourg. . .Doubts which manifested themselves at the earlier meeting were very largely dispelled, and Cabinet turned with a united front to fulfil ; the duties imposed by the national peril. ( At the earlier stage a strong belief existed that various Ministers Slight resign. At the afternoon meeting they succeeded in closing their ranks. The decisions of Cabinet will be announced in the iiouse ot (Jomuions on Monday next. They are known to be of a large and comprehensive character, dealing not only with naval and military preparations, but with the whole fabric of the national credit and food supply.
