SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Paddon. who is to row Barry for tho sculling championship of the world, early in the week sprained his wrist, and lip has not rowed for a week, consequently lie has increased his weight. He hopes to resume vowing on Monday. Barvy consented to a postponement of the race, and articles have been accordingly signed. A further £100 a-side lias been doposited. The iacp will ptaii at 2.45 p.m. on 6tli' September. Barry hopes the public will subscribe Paddon's expenses, otherwise lie will allow Paddon two-thirds of the steamboat receipts.
